Matcha Honey Lemon (Bright & Uplifting)

Matcha Honey Lemon
Bright citrus, soft honey, and clean ceremonial matcha — a cup that feels like morning light. Balanced, refreshing, and gently energizing without tasting heavy or sugary.
Citrus lift · Honey warmth · Clean matcha finish
Sweet, tart, and vivid
Lemon wakes up matcha’s green brightness, while honey rounds the edges into something smooth and uplifting. The key is mixing in the right order: fully dissolve matcha first, then add honey, then finish with lemon.
Keep it gentle — too much lemon can overpower, too much honey can hide the matcha. This is about clarity.
Ingredients & Ratio
Dissolve matcha completely first. Honey blends best while warm. Lemon goes in last to keep the cup smooth and balanced.
1.5–2 g ceremonial matcha (≈ 1 tsp)
50 ml water at 75–80°C (167–176°F)
Slightly stronger than usucha to hold up to lemon.
1–2 tsp honey (to taste)
1–2 tsp fresh lemon juice
Start small: you can always add more brightness.
Hot: add 100–150 ml warm water
Iced: add 120–180 ml cold water + ice
Choose your intensity: less water = bolder, more water = lighter.
The ritual steps
Make it in three clean stages: dissolve matcha, melt honey, then brighten with lemon. The result is crisp, smooth, and uplifting.
Iced: pour over ice and add 120–180 ml cold water. Stir well.
Smooth matcha, soft honey, and fresh lemon — balanced to feel light, bright, and quietly energizing.
Serving note Add lemon last and start with less — you can always brighten more, but you can’t take it back.
Bright & uplifting — with a clean matcha finish.
